A Bronx second-grader is dead after he collapsed at his school Friday, police say.
Police say 7-year-old Justin Leith had been excused to go to the bathroom. Classmates at P.S. 205A, on Southern Boulevard, ran out of the restroom and alerted a teacher after the boy collapsed.
The Department of Education says a teacher tried to revive Leith with CPR. He was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital around 11 a.m.
No foul play is suspected, but an autopsy is scheduled.
The DOE says grief counselors were called in to the school and will be available again Monday.
