News 12 has received another disturbing video of another violent scene on a Hudson Valley school bus.
It marks the second video to surface in less than 24 hours showing a violent altercation on a school bus out of Monticello.
The video was taken back in 2019, according to the mother of one of the students seen in the clip.
Kim Tester says her 14-year-old daughter is still battling severe trauma and anxiety after the attack.
“They knocked her down. They dug her face up,” says Tester. “She still has two scars on her face and she was missing a lot of hair.”
On Tuesday, News 12 received a video of a more recent attack on a student aboard a middle school bus in the same district.
Parents like Tester are now calling for mandatory bus monitors or security officers to be on the buses to help ensure student safety.
In the video, you can see the student being repeatedly punched and stomped on in front of other students.
Parents are pushing the district to take action to ensure something like this does not happen again.
Monticello School Superintendent Matthew Evans says they will not tolerate violence, aggression or bullying but that the district can’t afford monitors on every bus.
