As the opioid epidemic continues, health officials invited the public to a training session to help stop overdoses.
Done in part with the borough president's office and the New York City Department of Health, the NYC Health + Hospitals Woodhull seminar showed how to give naloxone to a person who is overdosing.
At the end, participants were given a bag with naloxone and a card that protects them from liability within New York.
Many participants say overdoses in their communities made them want to be prepared to help if needed.
