State Sen. Gustavo Rivera (D-District 33) is asking residents in the northwest Bronx how much they'll miss their post offices if they get stamped out.
Rivera sent out thousands of surveys to people living in Bedford Park and Norwood to find out how much they use the Botanical Gardens office on Webster Avenue and the Van Cott location on Decature Avenue.
The senator is worried that closing both post offices within the same community would put a huge burden on the elderly and disabled.
Residents are asked to respond by April 20. The United State Postal Service is scheduled to announce closures May 15.
