? Sheepshead Bay residents turned out to celebrate their neighborhood at Bayfest 2006 Sunday.
Emmons Avenue was shut down to allow booths, crafts and live music to set up in the area. Children and adults lined up to get in on the fun. Businesses also took advantage of the opportunity to show off their wares. Festival participants got a shot at $400 in a raffle, but many say it was a great opportunity to meet others in the community.
The event closed with the blessing of a fleet of fishing boats in the bay and free boat rides.
