The sheriff's office says it shut down a Canarsie shop for selling illegal cannabis on Tuesday evening.

Operation Padlock is an initiative led by the Adams administration to crack down on illegal cannabis shops and manufacturers.

Mayor Eric Adams says out of 900 shops shut down citywide, 223 are in Brooklyn. 1450-A Rockaway Parkway makes it the 224th.

“I think it’s just a matter of them needing to control what comes into the shops a little bit better., said Anna, of Sheepshead Bay.

It's unclear how much product was recovered.

News 12 reached out to the sheriff's office for a statement and are waiting to hear back as of Tuesday night.
