The 23 malnourished Shetland Sheepdogs that were pulled out of two Sheepshead Bay homes back in February are now up for adoption.
Investigators say the owners were animal hoarders that could not take proper care of them. Since then, the dogs have been in the custody of Animal Care and Control until they were deemed fully healed.
Officials say the previous homeowners have agreed to forfeit the dogs.
