News 12 obtained exclusive video that shows the moments a man was hit in a crash on St. Marks and Franklin avenues in Crown Heights on Saturday.

Police say it happened just after 3 p.m. when a Toyota Highlander struck a Hyundai Palisade. Sources tell News 12 the Hyundai ran a red light and the collision sent the car crashing into a 67-year-old man standing next to a parked car. He was taken to the hospital but later died.

News 12 previously reported that 79-year-old Yvette James was hit and killed in a crash in East Flatbush.

In a separate incident around 7:45 a.m. on Friday in East New York, police say a pedestrian was hit by a freightliner flatbed truck’s rear tire on Pennsylvania Avenue. Police say he was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

News 12 spoke with Tyler Miller, a street safety advocate for Transportation Alternatives, about the incidents.

“I think three fatal crashes in a weekend is unacceptable in the city. I know the city is trying to work on this, but I don’t know why it’s taking so long," said Miller.

In all three crashes, police say the drivers remained on the scene. No arrests have been made.
