Police have released photos of two men wanted for a violent attempted robbery that occurred May 11 in University Heights.

Investigators say the duo approached a 60-year-old man on University Avenue around 5:30 a.m.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim, while the other tried to remove his necklace.

A suspect fired his gun before they both fled the scene eastbound in a Hyundai Elantra sedan.

The victim was uninjured, according to police.
