Wakefield drivers are calling on the city to repair a long-standing sinkhole in their neighborhood.
According to community members, the crater has been damaging cars at the corner of Needham and Boller avenues for about five years.
The monster sinkhole is about 2 feet deep, and to make matters worse, there are at least two other craters nearby. Neighbors say they are often awakened at night by the sound of bumpers grating against asphalt.
Officials from the Department of Environmental Protection say they had inspected the sewer and water lines in the area and didn't find any problems, which means that it is up to the Department of Transportation to make the needed repairs.
