(07/19/06) EAST NEW YORK ? The sister of a Brooklyn Manor Adult Home resident killed in last week?s van crash says administrative holdups are preventing her from giving her brother a proper burial.
Miguel Cruz and four other residents were killed in the crash that occurred in the Rockaways. Luz Marquez says she can?t get her brother?s body from the city until she has certain medical records from Brooklyn Manor. However, she says internal confusion at the home is preventing her from obtaining those records.
Representatives for Brooklyn Manor claim they simply don?t have the records Marquez needs. Marquez wants her brother?s body so she can have it sent to Puerto Rico for a proper burial.
