Snow, ice pose hurdles for Bronx residents with mobility issues

Thursday's snowstorm was hazardous for travel not just by car, but for those who use the sidewalks as well.
It's especially tricky for those who can't walk on their own.
Some residents in Throgs Neck dealt with icy stairs to the subway, and sidewalks that weren't shoveled.
One man using crutches, who was concerned he'd slip, wrapped a trash bag around his cast.
Another woman was seen carrying her walker on slippery subway stairs. An elevator wasn't available at that station.
