Brooklyn residents hoping for an early spring were let down Friday when they woke up to snow and slick roads.
A clipper system moved into the region during the early morning and continued, coating cars and roadways with snow. Still, residents conceded that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. And some people even enjoyed it.
"I love the snow," said 3-year-old Jaylah. "It's so soft and light." But she admitted that the slightly slushy snow wasn't the best type for making a snowman.
News 12 meteorologists said accumulations for the day would be around a half inch, and the high hovered around 39 degrees.
Next week, temperatures are expected to be warmer.
