While some in Gerritsen Beach are finally seeing the light, others are still without power 16 days after Superstorm Sandy flooded the area.
Homes without damage to their electrical boxes have had power restored, but residents whose homes suffered extensive flood damage say they've had little help from government agencies.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) set up a recovery center in the community on Saturday and officials say they've had a large influx of victims.
The city's insurance assistance trailer was on hand today to help residents as well.
