Police have arrested and charged a Brooklyn man with stabbing his mother to death in Prospect Heights yesterday.
Andrew Bell, 28, is accused of killing his 43-year-old mother inside her second-story apartment at 487 St. Marks Ave.
Milagros Tricoche, a friend of the victim, says she celebrated the Super Bowl victory with the victim and her son Sunday. According to Tricoche, no one heard from the 43-year-old woman the following day.
Tricoche says she called for help after finding blood on the victim's apartment door.
Police found the victim unconscious yesterday at around 11 a.m. with multiple stab wounds to her head and body.
While those who know Bell say they never saw any tension between the mother and son, Tricoche says the 28-year-old man, who has a drug addiction, always had problems with his mother.
Bell is expected to be arraigned on murder charges.
