The family of a Brooklyn woman who went missing is crediting News 12 and the community with helping to locate the 65-year-old.
As News 12 has reported, Minelba Rolon was reported missing Jan. 24. Her family endured a grueling couple of weeks. Loved ones hung up missing persons posters. Her son, Matthew, said he would stop at nothing until she was found.
Rolon was found safe Wednesday at a hospital in Flatbush. After News 12's segment aired, hospital staff realized who the woman was and called Matthew to say his mother was safe.
"And it's actually thanks to News 12 that I was even able to find her because one of the staff recognized her on the news and recognized her face."
Matthew says his mom will return home with him and have the help of a home health aide. Rolon has dementia.
