Tens of thousands of people are expected in Bridgeport this weekend for a major music festival.

The Sound on Sound Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday at Seaside Park.

There will be more than 20 bands performing full sets on two stages, but only one at a time.

Organizers say it will be a much different experience than the Gathering of the Vibes festival in 2015.

"And it's a much more comfortable experience, aimed and geared toward adults and families. We've incorporated a playground into the festival so folks can bring their kids," said Tom Russell, of Founders Entertainment.

General admission tickets start at $240 per day, including fees.
