Police: 12 people injured, 20-year-old in life-threatening condition after Crown Heights fire

Police say 12 people were injured after a fire in Crown Heights Friday morning.

They say a 20-year-old man was among the injured and was in very critical condition, as of Friday evening.

The injured were comprised of nine civilians and three firefighters. The nine civilians were transported to five different local area hospitals, according to police.

Eight civilians and all firefighters expected to be OK.

Police say all nine civilians injured were between the ages of 19 and 21.

The Department of Buildings has issued a full vacate order on 658 Eastern Parkway.

The Red Cross is currently helping eight adults with financial assistance.
