Police have arrested the brother of a 4-year-old boy found dead on the floor in the courtyard of his East Midwood apartment building Saturday.
Sources say 20-year-old Shawn Smith may have been dealing with mental illness when he allegedly threw his younger brother, Shimron Smith, off the roof of their home on Nostrand Avenue.
Shawn Smith now faces a second-degree murder charge.
When asked by reporters if he meant to hurt his brother, Shawn Smith responded by saying, "Not really."
