A teen is dead after falling from an elevated surface inside a park in Williamsburg, sources close to the investigation say.

Officers found the 16-year-old boy with severe head trauma at Bushwick Inlet Park, near North 10th Street and Kent Avenue, just after 1 p.m. Friday.

Police say they got a 911 call saying the boy fell from a ladder on the tower.

Authorities say EMS took the teen to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he died.

The tower stands a few stories tall, but it's unclear how far the boy fell.

Parkgoers like Gaby were celebrating the first day of Spring, shocked by the incident.

“That’s so sad. It’s absolutely tragic," said Gaby.

As of Friday evening, it remains unclear what the boy was doing up there or who he was.
