Director Spike Lee held an audition in Brooklyn Monday for a remake of his 1986 independent film "She's Gotta Have It."
Residents waited for hours at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple, hoping to impress the famed filmmaker.
The movie's remake is coming back to life in a 10-episode Netflix miniseries. Like the original film, the episodes will follow the romantic life of character Nola Darling, a young Brooklyn artist who is juggling three boyfriends.
Filming for the show begins Oct. 11.
