The Castle Hill Little League kicked off a series of games where their teams play against the organizations that sponsor them.
The series began on Sunday with adults against teens, the first of more than a dozen games for the summer season.
Sunday’s game was hosted by Waste Connections, one of the businesses that sponsors one of the 33 teams within the Castle Hill Little League.
Christina Martinez, the president of the Castle Hill Little League, says this is an example of how many of the sponsors have stepped up to be more involved with the kids. She says it's beneficial for the young baseball players.
“With the kids, there’s something more than just being out there on the street, than just hanging out on the corner,” Martinez says. “They see the companies and adults are watching what they're doing and they want them to progress"
The next game is expected to happen next week. All games are free to attend.
