Spring Valley police seek public's help in solving fatal stabbing probe

According to the victim's family, 20-year-old Stalin Alexander De La Cruz Tigsilema was walking home when he was stabbed several times in the stomach, chest, and back.

Police in Spring Valley need the public's help in their investigation into a fatal stabbing that occurred Saturday morning.
They say the incident happened on Van Orden Avenue and Franklin Court in the early hours of the morning.
According to the victim's family, 20-year-old Stalin Alexander De La Cruz Tigsilema was walking home when he was stabbed several times in the stomach, chest, and back.
They say he managed to walk to home and alert them who flagged down a police car in the area for help.
Tigsilema was taken to a local hospital where he ultimately died from his injuries.
Despite the violent incident, residents told News 12 that the neighborhood is a safe area.
