New parents have a lot of options when choosing which stroller to buy, and experts say there are important things to look at when deciding.
Dr. Lazaro Lezcano of St. Barnabas Hospital says that parents should look for strollers that accommodate their lifestyles.
For example, parents in the city should seek a stroller that can fold up for storage at home or in the car, he says.
He also recommends getting strollers that have seat buckles to keep children from falling out.
Some include features like storage space for diaper bags underneath the carriage that can be useful for parents.
Lezcano recommends testing strollers out beforehand. And unlike car seats for children, he says that strollers don't come with expiration dates, so parents can buy used.
