While the New York City Marathon participants are lacing up their running shoes for the big race on Sunday, the track & field team at St. Raymond’s High School got some special training and brand-new kicks from a marathon-running legend.
Olympic athlete and multi-marathon winner Meb Keflezighi joined the boys of the high school’s track team, handing out Sketchers running shoes to each member.
Keflezighi also gave the runners life lessons as he is now looking to inspire the next generation of runners to be their best selves.
