A new Starbucks opened in Williamsburg on the corner of Ainslie Street and Union Avenue.

Residents have mixed feelings about the coffee giant coming to the neighborhood. Some think the new Starbucks is just what Williamsburg needed while others think the name brand is surprising for the area.

Another concern of many residents is how the chain will affect mom and pop coffee shops in the area. 

After a very successful opening day, a Starbucks spokesperson says they believe the entire coffee sector will thrive and they are proud to be a part of Williamsburg.
