Students are teaming up to grow their own produce at P.S. 376 as part of the green space project.
Yvote, a Brooklyn-based youth voting movement, pitched the idea to the Civic Engagement Commission. Students voted on 50 projects developed citywide and Yvote won first place for its project.
The movement's goal was to create green spaces in underrepresented communities.
The garden will be maintained by teachers and students.
