The race between Democrat Lew Fidler and Republican David Storobin is still too close to call in the special election for the 27th Senate District seat.
According to unofficial results, Storobin is in the lead with 10,756 votes to Fidler's 10,636 votes. However, the Board of Elections says it still has nearly 800 absentee ballots to count next Tuesday.
With only 120 votes separating the two candidates, both Storobin and Fidler are claiming victory.
The seat that both men are vying for was vacated when state Sen. Carl Kruger resigned after pleading guilty to bribery charges in 2011.
Whoever wins the special election will be able to run for a full term in November.
