A grocery store in Bay Plaza is getting a new look and new
items to better serve its shoppers. And it’s not the only
location getting an upgrade.
The ribbon was cut in Bay Plaza on Friday, revealing a
new-and-improved Stop & Shop.
Stop & Shop is investing $140 million to improve its
locations across the city and make sure that the shelves are stocked with
options sought out by the many different cultures and communities in New York.
To help increase healthy choices to all New Yorkers, Stop
& Shop is also pledging $1 million to New York City food banks.
Stop & Shop executives announced that they plan to turn
their Sheepshead Bay store into the city’s Kosher destination.
