Police say a store clerk was shot in the hip while trying to stop a robbery.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday at 485 New Lots Ave. in East New York.
In surveillance footage, one suspect can be seen pointing a gun at the clerk while another suspect goes through the register and takes cash and cigarettes.
At one point, the employee tried to grab the gun, but the suspect held onto it and wound up shooting the clerk in the hip.
The employee, identified as Nashwan Seid, returned to work Monday morning. He says he did not recognize the two men, but recalls them getting away in a black car.
