WHAT'S NEW: A pre-Halloween soaker is set to impact the tri-state. Strong winds 25 to 50 mph, Thursday through early Saturday morning. Power outages likely.
WHAT'S NEXT: Gusty winds continue to be the biggest issue today with mostly cloudy skies.
Today: Mostly cloudy with a high near 58. Northeast wind 15 to 30 mph. An isolated shower is possible.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy and scattered showers. Low around 49. Northeast wind 15 to 25 mph.
Thursday: STORM WATCH. Spotty showers in the morning with periods of rain in the afternoon. Some heavy rain is possible with a chance of thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Highs in the low-60s. Windy. Easterly winds 25 to 45 mph. Coastal flooding and beach erosion during the afternoon and evening high tide.
Thursday Night: STORM WATCH. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 51. East wind 20 to 40 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Rain totals 1 to 2 inches with possible higher amounts. Power outages possible. Slick roads with leaves down on the roads.
Friday: Isolated shower possible. Mostly cloudy with some sunny breaks. Gusty winds 35 to 50 mph. Power outages possible along with branches down.
