A sunny, hot and humid Wednesday afternoon quickly turned into a soggy, wet evening as thunderstorms moved through Brooklyn.

Heavy rain quickly caused flooding and puddling in low-lying areas such as the Shore Parkway in Brighton Beach. The weather conditions also caused additional congestion on the Belt Parkway as commuters slowed down to deal with the heavy rain.
