Strong winds and heavy rain battered Brooklyn from end to end Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory until midnight, with gusts potentially reaching up to 45 mph.
Temperatures remained reasonable as otherwise unpleasant weather slammed Brooklyn for most of Tuesday.
In Canarsie, some residents told News 12 they remember last year around this time being much colder -- although later in Coney Island, after temperatures had dropped for the night, the air felt more typical.
Others at Canarsie Pier were out fishing. Some of the fishermen there said the colder evening let them catch more fish.
"It's not crowded," said Ramon Rodriguez. "It's the best weather to come, and nobody comes."
"It's chilly, which is nice for the fall, because I thought it was turning back into summer," said Kara Furey Lesson, a Coney Island resident out on the boardwalk Tuesday evening.
Wednesday will be a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the upper-60s, according to News 12 meteorologists.
