Police responded to a 911 call Wednesday about a body floating in the water near 58th Street and Brooklyn Army Terminal.

The NYPD's harbor unit recovered the body of a person believed to be in his or her 40s. EMS workers pronounced the person dead at the scene.

The city's medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
