Ticket holders are disappointed after 'Celia: El Musical' didn't go as planned Saturday night.
News 12 covered a preview of the musical last week at the Lehman Center For The Performing Arts. Officials say they are still trying to figure out what happened.
Juan Rodriguez, his girlfriend and family were excited about the musical, a one-night-only show, happening in New York for the first time at Lehman College. However, when 8 p.m. hit, an MC took the stage to announce that due to technical difficulties, the show would not be presented in its entirety.
They said that instead the musical would be a concert in tribute to Celia Cruz and her music.
As waves of people got up out of their seats to go out to the box office, they found there was no option to get a refund. While many people did stay and watch the show, Juan and many others left with a lot of unanswered questions.
"I want my money back, to be honest, that put a really sour taste in my mouth," said Rodriguez.
There has been no official statement on what exactly happened from the Lehman Center For The Performing Arts. Rodriguez is hoping for a refund.
