More than a dozen newspaper stands have been robbed and police believe the same group is responsible for all of them.
Investigators tell News 12 that three teenagers have already been arrested, but now they’re searching for 10 more people.
The NYPD says the 10 people are wanted for questioning in connection to a total of 14 newsstand robberies across the city.
Police would only give News 12 information about two of the incidents. They say the first was around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 16 inside the Atlantic Avenue subway station along the 2 line. Police say four men came behind the counter, one pulled a knife while the others began beating the worker, taking off with cash.
The more recent robbery was inside the Borough Hall subway station on the 2 line around 7 p.m. on Dec. 22. Police say four men attacked a 53-year-old newspaper stand worker and then stole cash and candy.
News 12 is told the three people arrested so far are all 15-year-old males.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
