City officials renamed a street in East Williamsburg Tuesday to honor a fallen firefighter.
Members of the FDNY attended the ceremony along with family and friends of Lt. Richard A. Nappi.
They unveiled the new name on Morgan Avenue, which is the home of Nappi's Engine Company 237.
Nappi died while leading the battle against a fire on Flushing Avenue in 2012. Officials say he overheated and collapsed inside the burning building and later died at a hospital.
