Strollers banned from the Macombs tracks

Rafael Corcadio used to love running with his 3-year-old daughter on the track at Macombs Dam Park. But now, he has to jog with her on the nearby asphalt, as strollers are no longer allowed on the track. Corcadio says the Parks Department banned jogging on the track with strollers two months ago because department employees were concerned that the stroller wheels would damage the track's surface. News 12 The Bronx asked runners what they thought of the rule. Some called it discriminatory to parents and children, while others said parents with strollers could endanger joggers who aren't paying attention.Corcadio says he plans to start a petition to get the stroller ban lifted.
