Brooklyn high school students are joining forces with the community to help put an end to bullying.

Students from several Brooklyn-based after-school programs showed off short films they've been working on for weeks, with the theme being cyberbullying. It was held Wednesday night at the Hispanic Information and Telecommunications Network studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

There was also a workshop for the students to receive feedback on their work.

It was part of the Brooklyn district attorney's office and HITN's new anti-cyberbullying program called #BKAmplified. Its goal is to stop bullying by helping teenagers in creating short films to share their experiences with peers.

A moderated panel discussion led by the students followed the screenings.

Once fully completed, the students will be sharing their short films on social media.
