The halls of Carle Place Middle and High School will look a little different today.

Assistant Principal Jerry Baratta is retiring.

Students and staff sent off Mr. Baratta with a special clap-out to honor him on his last day.

He served as assistant principal for the last 20 years.

The district says Mr. Baratta has always put students first -- guiding, supporting, and cheering them on every step of the way.

He will be missed!
