Study: Majority of state teachers believe Regents exam should be changed, eliminated

According to a new report from the state education department, more than half of teachers across the state are in favor of dropping the Regents requirement to graduate high school.
The state surveyed more than 2,600 administrators and teachers.
The majority say they'd prefer 'performance based' assessments such as Powerpoint presentations and research projects over paper and pencil tests.
