? The latest attack on a straphanger has Brooklyn commuters concerned for their safety.
Police say a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest and rear about 10 a.m. Wednesday while leaving a train at the Botanic Garden station. The teen is expected to recover, but riders are on edge. Many straphangers expressed shock and disgust over the incident, saying children should be able to go to school and work without being attacked.
Police are using the station?s video surveillance system to investigate the crime. Authorities believe the victim may have known his attacker from a gang. Police say this incident is not related to another string of attacks where a suspect is now in custody.
