The transit authority has unveiled a new plan to thwart terror attacks in the subway-see through trash receptacles.
Officials say the first of these new clear receptacles has been placed at the Jay Street-Borough Hall subway station in downtown Brooklyn. The purpose of these new trashcans is to allow Brooklyn riders and the police the ability to spot potentially dangerous items.
If all goes well, officials say they expect to roll out the new bins to other stations across the borough.
