The theft happened Jan. 14, just before 8 p.m., near Avenue U and East 26th Street.

Authorities say the men broke into the car by shattering the driver's side window, snagged the suitcase and took off in a gray Dodge Caravan, heading eastbound on Avenue U.

One man was last seen wearing all black with an olive green jacket. Police say the second thief was observed dressed in black clothing with white sneakers and a gray hat, while the third wore a black jacket, blue pants, white and black sneakers and a gray hat.

Police ask anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
