Mayor Eric Adams kicked off the Summer Youth Employment Program today.
The program went from 75,000 participants last year to 100,000 this year, with 20% of those slots reserved for youth in need.
The program also teaches young people about financial literacy, including taxes and budgeting.
The program is a two six-week courses that will run through Aug. 20.
