WARMING UP WITH A CHANCE FOR STORMS LABOR DAY WEEKEND
- It has been an unseasonably cool Friday with plenty of clouds. This cooler weather will be short-lived as the 80s return Saturday.
- Rain holds off until Saturday night which means that Saturday daytime plans are good to go outside. Same with Saturday evening plans, before midnight. Umbrellas may be needed after midnight. The timing of the showers and storms has continued to shift later, and the best chance will be between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m.
- Any morning plans Sunday may need to be shifted later in the day as the sun returns and it becomes very warm in the mid-80s. Depending on how much humidity is leftover, a stray pop-up storm can't be ruled out between 3 p.m. and sunset, otherwise mostly sunny and very warm.
- Labor Day itself will have splendid weather with highs in the mid-70s and lowering humidity.
- Next week's weather may be the best stretch of weather all year with the sunshine, low humidity and comfortable temperatures. Humidity will be refreshingly low and highs will top out in the low- to mid-70s with plenty of sun.
