Bachata may be a favorite among Latin music lovers, but a spot in Sunset Park is teaching the general public how to get down.
Dance Fever Studios is helping Brooklyn residents learn the three-step dancing style that originated in the Dominican Republic.

The Sunset Park dance studio attracts many looking to learn the basic eight-count motion, that involves moving your hips side to side and tapping your feet to the beat.
Jose Paucar says the dance is sexy and soulful. He and his wife joined the dance classes as something fun to do together.

“It’s also a nice bonding moment. We get to spend time with each other and at the same time exercise,” says Paucar. “We get to learn new things that we get to show off at the club or at family parties.”
