With the possibility of snow headed for Brooklyn this weekend, people are trying to get ahead of the storm.

Floor Manager Les Sanchez for Brooklyn's Best Locksmith & Hardware in Flatlands says even though it's days out from the storm, they've been slammed.

“It’s been absolutely crazy around the block all day since 9:00 this morning to probably be close. And we'll probably be here later," said Sanchez.

Customers like Jennifer Greaves told News 12 they had trouble finding supplies like road salt and pellets at larger stores and went to local stores to get what they needed.

“I just went to Lowes and they were sold out so I came here. I don’t live farm from here and I don’t feel like driving all over looking for salt," said Greaves.

Sanchez says Thursday alone they sold out of nine pallets of one kind of pellet, and he says they don't expect business to stop as the storm approaches.

“It’s going to continue probably the next four days until it’s done. It’s going to be nonstop," said Sanchez.

The Flatlands store says they already sold out of some products but have another shipment coming on Friday.
