Heavy rain, gusty winds and hail hit parts of Suffolk County Thursday evening, toppling trees and snapping power lines.
The storm hits areas of Lake Ronkonkoma, Centereach and Selden.
Damage such as downed trees were seen in areas of Selden, Ronkonkoma and Farmingville.
A huge tree fell in the front yard of Ailsa Massini's Centereach home. She says she looked to her left, heard cracking and the tree just came down.
"I screamed - it was bizarre," Massini says. "I've never seen anything like that in my life."
There were also reported power outages and some stop lights that were not working in the area.
