Police have released surveillance video of a man they say attempted to rape a woman in Williamsburg.
The video was released just one day after a woman was sexually assaulted Thursday near Richardson Street and Kingsland Avenue around 2:20 a.m.
Police say the 27-year-old woman was walking home after leaving a nearby bar when she was attacked and sexually assaulted by the man.
Investigators say the man came up from behind the woman, forced her to the ground, removed her clothing and touched her genitals.
The woman can be seen fighting off the attacker before he shoved her to the ground.
Police say the man attempted to rape the woman but she pushed him off and he ran away.
The woman walked a mile to the 90th Precinct after the incident before being transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say the suspect is in his 20s and is about 6 feet tall.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
